Facets of Spring

These paintings begin as abstract sketches of florals, which are then distorted by a mosaic pixelation with a focus on macro views of the original sketches. Perhaps more of a design than an artwork, allowing me to use painting as a meditative medium. I’ve been stalled by overthinking concepts for a long time, and I want to explore this painting process as a vehicle to transport me to the beginning of the next thought.
